To help maintain local footpaths, the Westfield Footpath Volunteers group was started in 2008 as part of the Westfield Parish Action Plan.

This team is one of ESCC Rights of Way Volunteer Groups who work with the authority and landowners on maintenance and improvement of public rights of way.

We organise local working parties to install and repair stiles and gates and clear vegetation along footpaths. We also survey all footpaths in the parish and report on the condition of surfaces and structures.
