From 'The Observer' 8 March 2019

You may have noticed in 'The Observer' over the past couple of weeks news of the new community awards we are organising called The Best of 1066 Community Awards. Can think of anyone in your community who deserves to be recognised for their work and to nominate them? Categories are:

  • Local Hero Award
  • Carer of the Year Award
  • Young Achiever Award
  • Friend of the Environment
  • Volunteer of the Year Award
  • Overall Achiever of the Year
  • Care for Animals Award
  • Business in the Community
  • Public Service Award
  • Special Recognition Award
  • Observer Achievement Award
  • Best Community Organisation
  • Sporting Star Award
  • Best Fundraiser
  • Health Worker Award
  • Charity of the Year

You can find more information here and in the current newspapers.

Feel free to pass this news on to friends (TIP: that's the way to get yourself nominated!) as we are keen to ferret out as many of the hardworking heroes we know in our communities as we can.

Many thanks
