The New Inn has won an award for best eatery from MORE RADIO . The pub itself has only been open less than 18 months, after being brought back to life by a local entrepreneur after being closed down for three years. The pub has re-energised the village.
The award means a lot to Patrick, the landlord, who wants to thank the staff for all the hard work they put in. The pub would not have worked without them.
It's a family pub which serves good home-cooked locally sourced ingredients at a good price.

Floral classes starting next week

As you know, the floral arrangements are the star attraction of the Horticultural Show each year.  With a little bit of tuition it is amazing what can be created.  Come and learn how to make arrangements that will stun your friends and family.  You are welcome whether you have a bit of experience or none at all, even if you struggle to put a few flowers in a vase – you’ll be delighted with what you can do, right from the first session.

There are 6 classes on Tuesdays 7 – 9pm in the Parish Hall; 5th, 12th, 19th July, 9th, 16th, 23rd August.  The cost for the whole course is only £20 + flowers.  If you are interested please reply by this email or contact Catherine – 552485
